Weakland lived and played music in Pittsburgh for almost 10 years before
moving to his current residence in beautiful, bucolic Somerset County.
While in the Burgh, Mark performed in many different and noteworthy jazz,
rock, african drumming, dixieland and folk ensembles and groups. A singer/songwriter,
educator and percussionist, he is still active in the Western PA music
scene.
In Acousticity, Mark continues to hone his guitar skills. His instincts as a percussionist provide a vital rhythmic component to the groups dual guitar sound, and a complementary presence to Doug Wilkin's leads. Visit
